ABOUT US...

While Superior Insurance Services provides commercial insurance across Minnesota and into Wisconsin, we are based in Duluth, MN with other locations in Mora, MN and Sandstone, MN.  Since we travel to many of our clients (even on the jobsite) across MN & WI, we view our physical locations more as bases for our agents to work from; in other words, you don't have to be located close to one of our offices in order to receive outstanding service.

Superior Insurance Services is owned by Lake Superior Agencies of the Port Cities Inc.  Our business was founded by Richard "Dick" Laumeyer in 1991; after thirty years of being a successful life insurance general agent, Dick Laumeyer saw a greater need to provide broader coverage to businesses and individuals as an independent agent.  Son Chris Laumeyer joined forces with Dick in 2000, having previously worked in the health insurance industry.  Chris became president of Lake Superior Agencies in 2005.

Superior Insurance Services now consists of the dedicated experienced team of Chris, Dick and other agents; like us, our agents are committed to our goal as an organization to be relentless in maintaining long term relationships with our clients by providing sound insurance protection at low cost and a very high level of service.  We like to think of our clients as part of our extended family; as such, we've been blessed by enjoying many relationships with our clients that last for years and we're rewarded with contributing to and sharing our client's success.
